01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Using a serrated bread knife, slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls horizontally without separating the individual rolls to create a top and bottom portion.
03 - Position the bottom half of the rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Evenly layer sliced cheddar cheese over the rolls and add deli ham or turkey if using.
04 - Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese and fillings to reassemble.
05 - In a bowl, combine melted butter with Dijon or yellow mustard, honey, and garlic powder if desired. Use a pastry brush to coat the tops of the rolls with the butter mixture.
06 - Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and the tops of the rolls are golden brown.
07 - Allow the rolls to cool for 2 minutes. Slice into individual mini sandwiches and serve warm.
